Draggin' The Line

Whew! This post has many parts, hold on to your hats, kids.

Yesterday we went to our cabin! Good times ensued. It was probably one of the last good days of the summer, so it was nice that we made it out there.

Here is the remaining pup.
We had to put down her little sister about a month ago, sadly. She's still spry as a spring chicken (I've never seen a chicken in the spring, but apparently they are quite agile?). I think she's 14 years old now.

While at the cabin I "borrowed" some items (read: took and am never giving back). Here is one of the things which I am now in possession:

Hmm, a mysterious box? Indeed, lets open it:

That's right, folks. A vintage Singer sewing machine, complete with various accoutrements! Even if it doesn't work too well, it sure is pretty to look at.

Making it work properly is a project for another day...

Speaking of projects for other days, I have happened upon a sort of infestation, if you will.

I have 6(?) pairs of riding boots in my house. Two pairs are mine, and the rest are either my mom's or random pairs which migrated into our house by unknown means. So here's the deal, I'm thinking of selling some on Etsy. Not all of them, because I still use some, and it feels wrong to sell all of them. Lucky for you, I'm not selling mine because I have size 4.5 feet and I have yet to meet another person (besides my mother circa 1979) who has feet that small. But the other ones are around 6's and up, I believe. What say you all? Would any of you be interested in buying a pair of genuine riding boots to spruce up your wardrobe? They would probably be between $100.00 and $300.00. I promise to remove as much horse shit as possible. But who doesn't want that smell of authenticity, right?

I'm watching "We are Marshall" right now. I never knew January Jones was in this movie. I have only ever seen her in Mad Men. She still carries that "Betty" kind of aura in this film. She plays it well. Season 3, episode 2! Set yer Tivo's, kids!
